Program and Business Strategy for Not-for-Profit Foundation


Business Situation

  • The client is a philanthropic, not-for-profit foundation of a global information technology (IT) trade association.
  • The client requested assistance with the redesign of their showcase program which helps underrepresented populations build IT careers by providing IT training, certification and work experience.
  • The Revere Group was asked to help the foundation redesign the showcase program, as well as identify the activities needed to lead the successful execution of this new program.

Key Issues

  • Foundation staff, the Leadership Council and the association executives were unable to clearly articulate what the showcase program represents and how it is unique from other philanthropic-based organizations. 

Outcomes

  • The vision, mission and guiding principles were developed, as well as the assessment of the overall value chain, program initiatives and a study of other philanthropic organizations.
  • An action plan was developed, focusing on building and executing the revised program.
  • A pilot of the eLearning content was provided over the client portal.
