Business Situation

  • This client is one of the nation's largest gas distribution companies that has provided safe, reliable and cost-effective natural gas services for 50 years.
  • The client requested assistance on a series of projects to re-align the Information Services (IS) department to effectively meet the organization’s overall business strategy.
  • The Revere Group was asked to complete an assessment of the IS organization and implement recommendations to transform it as needed.

Key Issues

  • The IS department’s structure and processes were more aligned with system maintenance and support and were not aligned to support new system development and projects.

Outcomes

  • The development of a consistent, shared IS mission and vision, including the development of a "transformation" roadmap to recognize the limitations of the current IS organization and the desired behaviors, process and business results of the future organization.
  • The analysis and re-design of the Application Development and Support (ADS) organization and alignment with Project Office.
