Providing a Customizable Data Collection Tool for a Marketing Organization


Business Situation

  • The client is a large marketing and branding organization for a nationwide insurance provider
  • Our client wanted to provide value-added services to their Licensees and help strengthen Licensee performance
  • The Revere Group was retained to develop a web enabled system which would allow the client to electronically gather information from their licensees, and in turn provide robust analytical report generation and distribution

Key Issues

  • Implementing a comprehensive solution that included designing a new infrastructure, data collection tools, and dynamic reporting tools

Outcomes

  • The Revere Group co-managed and co-developed a high-quality application that increased data validation, and improved its ability to analyze data and evaluate key business metrics
  • This allowed our users to adjust the application’s content without having any on-staff programming support. The application utilized a survey-based paradigm for usability, which could be customized to meet exact data needs
  • Web-based reporting was implemented using a Web-enabled version of Business Objects. Web survey data was consolidated with data from other internal systems in a data warehouse. Java-based ETL interfaces were constructed to populate the Data Warehouse. Universes constructed from the Data Warehouse formed the basis of Web-enabled reporting interface
