Enterprise Platforms Success Story
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 & ASNA Technology
to Modernize and Extend Legacy iSeries (AS400) Architecture
Business Situation
- The client is a leading regional real estate provider of metropolitan parking, storage and executive workspace.
- The client wanted to modernize the front-end features and capabilities of its existing Line of Business (LOB) systems and extend their legacy IBM I-Series OS/400 DB2 access.
- There was also a pressing need to improve efficiency and the quality of the client’s IT systems and to significantly increase the availability of data to non-technical personnel.
Key Issues
- The client was experiencing increasing risks and costs of maintaining aging legacy infrastructure with scarce resources.
- Additionally, the client needed the migration and extension of native RPG applications into the Microsoft continuum of Information Technology platforms, services and development languages.
Outcomes
- Integration and bi-directional data synchronization between CRM and AS400 was achieved through effective use of Microsoft’s Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services and ASNA Inc.’s AVR.Net assemblies.
- The Revere Group enhanced the client’s operational efficacy and risk mitigation with better data access and analytics, improved quality and integrity in data and processes, and reduction in manual work and re-work.
