Council of Operations Executives Special Interest Group (SIG)

A Proverbial Who's Who in Supply Chain Management

The COE SIG in Chicago is a membership group that brings together senior-level operations executives from the Chicagoland area in an open and confidential environment. It is a periodic, member-led executive roundtable that consists of 15-20 senior-level operation executive members. Members have the opportunity to network with local companies and share ideas on common business challenges.

Membership is open to Presidents, CEOs, COOs, EVPs, VPs of Supply Chain, and VPs of Operations at local manufacturing, distribution, and retail companies.

Format

The COE SIG meets bi-monthly for a two-hour session (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM) at pre-designated host site with a facility tour at the end of each meeting. Meetings consist of member presentations, open sharing, benchmarking, and discussion of industry issues, profit opportunities and business building strategies. Past SIG discussion topics have included:

  • World Class Supply Chains
  • Spend Characteristics
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Sourcing
  • Inventory Management
  • KPIs and Metrics
